Pretty Lady Begs For Just 1 hour With Singer, Olamide

It is amazing what fans can do to get to their favourite artistes.

They stalk them on social media, send them loads of messages they never miss their concerts and the cover their walls in photos of the stars. Yet, some super fans take it farther. They try to get a one on one with them.

That exactly is what one Princess Adaeze Millerand did. The lady whose profile says ‘lives in Paris’ made a video begging Naija street rap star, Olamide Badoo to grant her audience for just one hour.

She said she had seen Olamide before in Dubai, but she could not get an audience with him then.

In the 1.50-minute-video, Adaeze Millerand who studied in Yabatech also enumerated the reason she is so in love with Olamide, to include his simplicity, his swag, his being down to earth.

“Hi, My name is Princess, I just wanna say that… I wish, I hope, I pray that I have a date with Olamide one day. He is my crush, I like him so much. I like him, he is just so simple, he doesn’t form. Among all the musicians, he is the only one I like. I don’t wanna date him, I don’t wanna have any thing with him. I just wanna go out with him, have a cup of drink or coffee, take pictures and that’s it. I just want to see him, I met him once in Dubai, but it was from afar.I just took pictures. He was on stage in Kiza, I just wanna see him. I like him so much,” the lady who appears to also run a charity organisation begged in the slightly emotional video.

“Olamide I like you, you are my crush. Now you have this tattoo, I love it. Please Olamide, wherever you are, I want to sit with you for one hour, just one hour please. I am begging you, I am begging you please. Oh my God. Like like like, I like everything about you. I like your swag everything about you. What kills me the most is your sexy eyes. Love you. I wanna go on a date with you. Just one day, just one hour please… Thank you. O my God… please please please.”

It is unclear if the 27-year-old rapper and father of one has seen the video. But we wish Princess luck in her quest to hang out with Olamide for one hour.

YCEE murderd it..! See YCEE’s Wicked Response To A Fan Who Asked Him For An iPhone 7… Even Olamide Was Shocked!

A lot of Nigerians on Twitter have been gaining favour(s) from celebrities and corporate bodies all in the name of retweets. Remember the guy who got to hangout with the famous DJ Cuppy and the other guy who got a month internship with Oando all based on a speculated number of retweets they were asked to garner.

Based on the success of some people one wouldn’t blame this Twitter user for asking rapper, Ycee the number of retweets he needed to get in exchange for an iPhone 7, but Ycee didn’t buy any of it. His response has since set Twitter on fire. See the post below:

YBNL Boss ‘Olamide’ 6th studio album will be a ‘Hip-hop’ project

Just like his past three albums, rap has never been absent from Olamide’s career, and his next album will still be a glowing addition to Hip-hop.

Olamide’s sixth studio album will be released in December, and it will definitely have rap in it.

The Nigerian rapper who has released released a studio album every year since his debut in 2011, is working on maintaining his figures and keeping his momentum going, by dropping a studio album in 2016.

The new album will be released in December, as songs on the album have already been recorded. It will feature hit song ‘Who you epp’, along with other singles. No official title, artwork, and tracklist has been released.

This will be Olamide’s 7 album. In 2011, he launched his career with “Rapsodi”, and went further to release a string of albums every year including “YBNL” (2012), “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” (2013), “Street OT” (2014), “2 Kings” (joint album with Phyno, 2015), and “Eyan Mayweather” (2015).

2016 has been a big year for the rapper. Under his leadership and guidance, his record label, YBNL, has released an album (“YAGI”) for rapper Lil Kesh, who have subsequently left the company, to found his personal imprint. It is currently still promoting Adekunle Gold’s “Gold” album. He has also began work on another of his signed rappers, Chinko Ekun, who is releasing singles.

‘Who you epp’

‘I love Lagos’

‘Abule sowo’

‘Konkobility’

‘Lies People Tell’ ft Maupheen, Dalis

‘Owo Blow’

‘Sere’ ft Lil Kesh

‘Orobo’

Nobody knows how many of his singles since his last album will make the next full-length project. And although the rapper has kept up his work in the pop genre, he has always been sure to mix that with some Hip-hop tracks. This genre diversity has retained his credibility as a rapper, while also chasing the big bucks that comes from the pop sound.

Singles ‘Who you epp’, ‘Lies People Tell’, ‘Owo Blow’, and ‘Sere’ have all been rap singles which sits squarely at the center of the Hip-hop conversation. If ever there was an award for the most eye-catching and viral Hip-hop record for 2016, ‘Who you epp’ will be a shoo-in for the trophy. Olamide understands his roots in indigenous rap music, and how he earned his credentials by spitting for the streets. He embraces his past, and looks to the future with more of it.

Pop music has been a menace to the Hip-hop genre, with the two types of music having found a way to move in together and cohabit a single space. Just as the marriage between R&B and Hip-hop in the US, our pop sounds have formed a natural alliance with rap music, and together they have grown. Olamide’s ‘Sere’ strides this fine line, and embodies what has been happening on the music scene for almost a decade. He is on the record with Lil Kesh, and together, they create music with elements of both worlds on display.

Just like his past three albums, rap has never been absent from Olamide’s career, and his next album will still be a glowing addition to Hip-hop. The man can adapt and become Nigeria’s A-list pop star, but he finds new ways to still be a rap star too. December will be a good month for the glory of Nigerian rap music.
