The Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, has said the current economic and political situations in the country are making Nigerians to lose hope, saying that the nation needs assurances of a brighter future from its leaders.

The bishop said this during a press conference to herald the 2016 Rehoboth activities of the church, which has the theme, ‘Amazing grace.’ Adelakun said the programme was designed to bring back hope to Nigerians and assure them that the hard times would soon come to an end.

He said, “Nigerians are gradually losing hope and the nation needs a reassurance of the revival of the economy and survival of the nation under recession. The leaders must reassure the people that this period of recession will soon be over.

“It is important to let our people know that at the end of recession, there will be expansion and enlargement for them. Nothing will be static because it is time for the nation and its people to move forward. David was nobody but God made him the greatest and an amazing wonder to his generation. That is the promise of God to this nation.”
