Bajoga in Gombe state under attack by Boko Haram via @iam_bobokanbai

Bajoga town in Gombe state is currently under attack by Boko Haram members. According to reports, the militants came into the town in the very early hours of this morning, breaking into homes, shooting at people and blowing up things. 

Bajoga is the host community for the Ashaka cement factory where the sect members visited some weeks back, stealing dynamites and other explosives

Transparency International ranks Nigeria 136th most corrupt country in the world via @iam_bobokanbai

Transparency International has ranked Nigeria the 136th most corrupt country in the world and the 3rd most corrupt country in West Africa after Guinea and Guinea Bissau.

In its 2014 Transparency International Corruption Perception Index released today December 3rd, the group said it ranked 174 countries it surveyed based on how corrupt their public sector is presumed to be. The measurement is based on a scale of 0 to 100 with a score of 0 perceived as "highly corrupt" and 100 "very clean". Nigeria was ranked 136th with an index score of 27.

193 prisoners who escaped during Ekiti prison explosion recaptured via @iam_bobokanbai

193 prisoners out of the over 300 that escaped during the explosion that rocked the Federal Prison in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital on Sunday November 30th have been recaptured. Confirming their recapture, the state Prison's spokesman, Mr Ope Fatinikun said the chase for other escapees was still on. He urged people in neighboring states of Ondo, Kogi, Edo, Oyo and Kwara to be vigilant as some of the prisoners might want to take refuge in their community
