Two men, Isaac Nyam and his accomplice, both pictured above were rrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Abuja after they robbed the Kingdom Connection Church, Jabi Daki-Biyu Abuja on June 15th.

According to The Sun, the men were part of a 4-man robbery gang that specialized in robbing churches in Abuja of their tithes and offerings.

The robbers, who disguise as worshipers, attend the service of a church and then attack and rob them of the offerings collected.

Luck however ran out on them after they attacked the Kingdom Connection Church, Jabi Daki-Biyu Abuja. They had overpowered the security guards in the church and carted away with the church's offering, musical instruments, laptops, GSM handsets and also removed the brain box of church’s Toyota Hummer bus. Unfortunately for them, they were later caught.

When interrogated, one of the suspects, Isaac Nyam said
“We specialized in robbing churches in Abuja. Usually one member of our gang would attend service in the church before we go to rob the place. When the service is on, we will watch what they are doing, especially during the offering time. We will watch where the ushers take the offering box after the service and in the night we go back for the operation.”
According to the FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr. Wilson Inalegwu, after much investigation, the robbers' hideout was located and they were subsequently arrested. The police recovered an English Berata pistol and three other pistols from the gang.

The suspects will soon be charged to court.

NDLEA: Davido opens up on the controversial substance in the 'Fans mi' video ... via @iam_bobokanbai

He says it is not what you think it is!
Pop artiste Davido whose recent work featuring American rapper Meek Mill caught the attention of the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency has said that he wasn't promoting hard drugs in the video,  but African culture through its rich cuisines like pounded yam and vegetable soup.
In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats after reports went viral that the NDLEA had set up a panel to probe Davido, the pop star through his manager, Kamal Ajiboye, said:

“The NDLEA has not got in touch with us. We heard about the news on the pages of newspapers. They have neither called nor invited us over. People just pictured the video in a negative way.       When we wrote the script for the video, it was not to portray Davido as a drug trafficker.

If they watch the video till the end, they would notice that we were selling African lifestyle through our food. That was our idea of the video. If you watch it to the end, you would see him eating pounded yam and vegetable soup.

When we learnt that people thought Davido was using the video to encourage drug usage, we were very shocked. We hope that when people watch it to the end, they would get the message. Davido is baffled that he is under investigation by the NDLEA but what would he do when they have not made any contact with us? We would keep doing our business as usual. Not even the police have placed a call to us, not to talk of the NDLEA before people would begin to say that we are using money to influence the situation. They have to take a step first.

As of Wednesday when Davido was travelling to Durban, we were hoping that the NDLEA would accost us at the airport so that we could sort this issue out, but there was nobody there."

Presidency- Buhari to make 6000 appointments.. via @iam_bobokanbai

In an interview with Sahara TV on Saturday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, stated that Buhari would be fair to all. He also called for patience and  reassured Nigerians that the President still has over 6,000 appointments to make.
Buhari, who recently sacked the country’s service chiefs that served under former President Goodluck Jonathan and dissolved the boards of many Federal Government parastatals across the country, has been criticised for not constituting his cabinet and appointing people into various boards of parastatals.
The President has also being accused of allegedly favouring the North in the appointment he had made so far. But,
“I think President Muhammadu Buhari is sensitive to the diversity of this country. He has more than 6,000 appointments to make. Therefore, why would anybody use less than 10 appointments to judge the President on this matter? Again, it boils down to the lack of patience. This man is an experienced leader. Nigeria stands to gain from the accumulation of wisdom that he has garnered over his long life on earth. He has sworn to an oath that he’s a President of all.

“This government will make as many as 6,000 appointments. And he is bound, even if he doesn’t wish it, by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to reflect federal character.”
