First Bank of Nigeria has appointed its first female Chairman. Ibukun Awosika’s appointment came up as the former chairman, Prince Ajibola Afonja retired. She is also the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Women in Management and Business (WIMBIZ), as well as the Chairman of Intermac, the organisers of Smart Card Conference in Nigeria.

House of Representatives Majority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila has reacted to the tragic accident involving a trailer and a container that fell off the Ojuelegba flyover and landed on an SUV killing all 3 occupants yesterday September 2nd. Ojuelegba is under Femi Gbajabiamila's constituency, Surulere 1 constituency.

Army reinstates over 3000 dismissed soldiers.. via @iam_bobokanbai


The Nigerian Army has reinstated not less than 3,032 dismissed soldiers who were dismissed for failing to engage Boko Haram members. Most of the soldiers were dismissed after they rebelled due to poor weapons to the terrorist sect. NAN reports that the Nigerian army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman confirmed that those reinstated were among the 5000 recently dismissed soldiers.
