6 Categories of Secondary School friend we all had then.(No 2 is very common)

If you are a student in the 80’s and 90’s, then this writeup will surely bring back a lot of funny memories.

Back then we didn’t consider it funny, but now? We wish we could relive them with the same set of people.

And by ‘school’ I meant secondary school. Cliques and clique names were so in vogue, we’d pick out the first letter of each member’s name to form a catch name.

Then there were the funny friends/classmates we had. Who in one way or another made life memorable for us.

Below are 6 classes of school mates we each had in school:



1. Sicklers
These sets of mates were always sick. I’m beginning to wonder if they just wanted to sleep in more at the sick bay or eat double rations of food. Every week you’d find them in the sickbay.



2. Dubbers
So your Biology teacher announces a test would hold in the next period. These guys never studied o, all they knew to do was tap you in the back then tell you to adjust so they could ‘dub’ from your sheet. If you didn’t, your life would never be the same.



3. Sneakers
Ah, these guys were in and out of school like “Willy Willy.” They knew every trick in the book to sneak out of school. In some cases, today you’d notice them coming to school as day students, and tomorrow they’re back as boarding students.



4. Pepperless
I knew a couple of students who’d join the pepperless table cos they got larger rations of food. Things we did in school just to fill up our bellies were darn hilarious.



5. Hoarders
And these guys? I think they were the meanest sets of friends ever. Imagine it’s the end of term and everyone’s mad hungry. These guys had enough to feed an entire group of friends. But they’d hoard it and take it back home. Saying something like “I want to impress my parents.” Jeeze those provisions were meant to be eaten not taken home.



6. Jackers
How many of y’all remember TDB? (Till Day Break) Awww, these sets of friends would burn candles during the whole terms but still come out with a Pass in exams? So why bother bro?


If we had the opportunity, we will go back and do it all over again with the same set of friends.

WhatsApp Unveil a new Snapchat-like features for Android users

The most reliable and popular Chat Media “WhatsApp” is rolling out new features for Android users. The company has brought out the image doodling feature out of beta mode for public release. The feature enables users to doSnapchat-like drawing on photo and videos.

The update also allows Android users to add emojis to express themselves. The users just need to select a brush size or font style by dragging left on the colour selector. The new editing tools appear whenever a photo or video is shared (old as well as and new ones).


The feature is expected to be rolled out to Apple iOS users too soon.

The update also brings the ability to send multiple chats at once while sharing or forwarding messages. Users frequent contacts will appear on the top at the time of forwarding or sharing messages. Users can also slide their finger up or down to zoom in and out while recording videos.

Lastly, the popular instant messenger also gets a new front-facing flash for better selfies in low-light conditions.

Recently, WhatsApp quietly rolled out an update which allows people to tag others in WhatsApp Groups. The new tagging feature means that users may no longer be able to mute notifications in Groups. As in case, a user has been tagged, he or she will still receive the Group’s notification

To do this, users need to type in @, following which the names of the group members pop up. They can select the people that have to be tagged. Multiple users can be tagged and all of them are notified. Moreover, the feature also sends notifications to the people who are not in a user’s contact list but are part of a WhatsApp group. The update is available on both Android and iOS, but not on the desktop app. With the update, it seems that WhatsApp has closed all ways to avoid annoying group notifications. The only way out is to either turn off app notifications completely or leave the group.

Funke’s Dad: My daughter remember the kind of family you’re from, and don’t forget to be a God fearing lady in school
Me (Funke) : Daddy I promise to be of good behaviour, you know I’m the only one left for you as your companion after mom’s demise, I hope now you’ll have time to remarry.


(Cynthia’s Residence )
Cynthia’s Mom: My daughter I won’t be able to take you to school, the driver will take you instead… Don’t worry when your dad is back from his business trip we’ll come to visit you.
Me (Cynthia) : Mom!!!
Cynthia’s Mom : you know I wish I could take you but I’ve got to seal a deal of 3 billion naira, don’t worry I promise to send you extra 100k next week, just manage the 200k with you

(Folake’s Residence )
Papa : My daughter please don’t disappoint us, you know you are our only hope we don’t have much but don’t worry when your mama collects the loan from her thrift organization, we’ll send it to you
Me (Folake): Papa its okay I understand, once I settle down I’ll also look for a work to do to sustain myself

(Elizabeth’s Residence)
Me (Elizabeth): papa and mama see wetin una give me, do you want me to go and suffer ni
Elizabeth’s mom: my daughter please bear with us, this is what we could afford
Elizabeth’s Dad: i don know say you’re a bastard child, do you now want me to go and do money rituals or what?

(Oge’s Residence)

Me (Oge) : Mama and papa this is too much na, when it’s not as if i won’t come back home
Papa : My daughter it’s not much at all, we even wished we could provide more than this.
Mama: just be of good behaviour in school my dear
Me: i promise not to disappoint you mama and Papa .

**Story proper**
Hi5 University (imaginary name)

They are all fresher’s (new students)
Funke got to school first, she did her registration and headed to her hostel, she happened to be the first to get to the room… While she was still accessing the room’s beauty, Cynthia the rich girl walked in with beauty and riches all over her… Funke had already started to admire her before she could even say hello folake barged in looking wretched but still managed to look good in it, while the three of them were trying to get along Elizabeth and Oge walked in the same time….
few minutes later they were all into each other while Elizabeth was trying to get acquainted with Cynthia in order to get out of her riches…….
11:59pm
They were still talking being the first day in school, suddenly a group of guy’s barged in, blind folded them and took them away.
By the time they were un blindfolded, they realized they were in an unknown area :

**the guys were all masked**
Voice1 : God mother take them inside and check out if they’re intact
Godmother (also masked): okay sir
It was when they got to where they’re were going to be checked they realized they were not the only one being kidnapped… still they didn’t know what they were being checked for…….
**few minutes later**
After they’ve stripped them naked and placed a calabash on each and every one of them, ten of them were taken to a separate room including FUNKE, CYNTHIA, FOLAKE,ELIZABETH AND OGE …..
**unknown voices conversing with bedroom voices**
Folake was able to get few words out of what they were discussing “just ten …….. are virgins’’
Later on they were all blindfolded and found themselves tied up in a bush the following morning, now they’re left on our to be rescued
………….

………….
**10:00am*
Still no one came to rescue them, luckily for them three guys were walking by the bush and heard their screams, they rescued them and the ladies were shocked that the guys were not surprised to see them tied up…..
Guy1: my name is femi , you guy’s are freshers right
The Ladies: **nods **
Guy2 (sola): hahhaahahahaha that means you all are virgins niyen
**they looked at eachother with a surprised look**
Sola: well my advice for you girls is to keep your virginity till you graduate, the guys that kidnapped you will be back for you in a decent way , its left to you all …. or lemme just say its left for you to become The Last Virgin….

Femi: and please note that they don’t have any good/main motive behind this, they just do it for fun
Sola: They call themselves ‘’’Virgin Hunters’’, you’ll hear about them soon enough

Roland Igbadumhe, aka ‘Youngest old man’ who is also a comedian spoke with newsmen in Benin,andsaid that the good work of APC led-government of Oshiomhole, spoke ‘eloquently’ during the campaign and at the election.

Sack CBN Gov, Emefiele Now – House of Rep Members Demand…Find Out Why

The house of rep has demanded for the sack of The current CBN Governon “Godwin Emefiele” whose wife was rescued from the hands of the kjdnappers recently .





In a motion entitled ‘Call for investigation of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s forex policies’, which was sponsored by Hon Ali Isa, some members of the federal house of representatives have today, October 5, called for the sack of the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, and his entire team over the continuous fall of the naira at the parallel market.
Moving the motion of the sacking on the floor of the house, Isa said despite the weekly releases by the CBN to the Bureau de Change (BDCs) and the banks, the value of naira against the dollar had continued to depreciate.

According to TheCable News, Mojeed Alabi who contributed to the debate for the sacking of the CBN boss, expressed dismay that the CBN governor ignored several invitations to discuss some of the bank’s policies with the lower chamber.
“Over the falling of the naira, the CBN governor and his team should be sacked,” Alabi said.

While calling for the sack of the CBN governor, another lawmaker, Wale Raji, said Nigeria is the only country that quotes “black market” figures as officials.

“Who is in charge of our Forex CBN or the black market? This is the only country in the world where the black market rates are quoted on television. If Nigeria were to be a normal country, the CBN governor and his team should be sacked,” Raji said.

However, the minority leader of the house, Leo Ogor, kicked against the sack of the CBN governor, he said the legislature in conjunction with executive should find a solution to the problem. “The only thing we do is pay lip service,” he added.

The house resolved to set up an ad hoc committee to interact with the BDCs and other establishment that receive foreign exchange directly from the CBN, so that they can explain how they utilis the forex.

The house adopted the motion after it was put to a voice vote by Yakubu Dogara, the speaker.
