Freeze writes Toke Makinwa an open letter over her controversial Vlog asking Ladies in their 20s to engage in one night stand

As shared on his IG page
"Dear Toke, I have known you longer than most people are aware off, I'll put it at 15 years at least. You were recording a radio drama series at Coolfm, in 2001, when I joined, and I watched you grow, powered by hard work, and fueled by the passion and drive that only a strong woman can posses.
I met Maje who I also believe is a wonderful guy, through you, and although you guys didn't work out, the strength to forge ahead has not left either of you. Toke, as far as I am concerned, you are one of Nigeria's foremost female broadcasters ( I hate the acronym OAP with a passion). You are a trend setter, an online entrepreneur and a formidable force, pioneering the paradigm shift, leading to the emergence of a new order in Nigerian online entertainment, this however, doesn't come without consequence. I watched your vlog, and I understand that you were trying to express thoughts, that many people nurse in the depths of their minds, hidden far away from public scrutiny. You, on the other hand do not enjoy that immunity, being a successful public figure. We Nigerians, are extremely judgmental, and love to seek fuel for jungle justice, which has one way or the other, migrated into our social media scene, where online courts are quickly formed, justice is speedily given and executions are promptly carried out, without any mercy whatsoever. Most people do not have the cognitive depth to assimilate the message you were trying to pass across and have employed their fertile imagination to fuel it into becoming what it has evolved into. God bless and keep you dear! ~FRZ".

YBNL Boss ‘Olamide’ 6th studio album will be a ‘Hip-hop’ project

Just like his past three albums, rap has never been absent from Olamide’s career, and his next album will still be a glowing addition to Hip-hop.

Olamide’s sixth studio album will be released in December, and it will definitely have rap in it.

The Nigerian rapper who has released released a studio album every year since his debut in 2011, is working on maintaining his figures and keeping his momentum going, by dropping a studio album in 2016.

The new album will be released in December, as songs on the album have already been recorded. It will feature hit song ‘Who you epp’, along with other singles. No official title, artwork, and tracklist has been released.

This will be Olamide’s 7 album. In 2011, he launched his career with “Rapsodi”, and went further to release a string of albums every year including “YBNL” (2012), “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” (2013), “Street OT” (2014), “2 Kings” (joint album with Phyno, 2015), and “Eyan Mayweather” (2015).

2016 has been a big year for the rapper. Under his leadership and guidance, his record label, YBNL, has released an album (“YAGI”) for rapper Lil Kesh, who have subsequently left the company, to found his personal imprint. It is currently still promoting Adekunle Gold’s “Gold” album. He has also began work on another of his signed rappers, Chinko Ekun, who is releasing singles.

‘Who you epp’

‘I love Lagos’

‘Abule sowo’

‘Konkobility’

‘Lies People Tell’ ft Maupheen, Dalis

‘Owo Blow’

‘Sere’ ft Lil Kesh

‘Orobo’

Nobody knows how many of his singles since his last album will make the next full-length project. And although the rapper has kept up his work in the pop genre, he has always been sure to mix that with some Hip-hop tracks. This genre diversity has retained his credibility as a rapper, while also chasing the big bucks that comes from the pop sound.

Singles ‘Who you epp’, ‘Lies People Tell’, ‘Owo Blow’, and ‘Sere’ have all been rap singles which sits squarely at the center of the Hip-hop conversation. If ever there was an award for the most eye-catching and viral Hip-hop record for 2016, ‘Who you epp’ will be a shoo-in for the trophy. Olamide understands his roots in indigenous rap music, and how he earned his credentials by spitting for the streets. He embraces his past, and looks to the future with more of it.

Pop music has been a menace to the Hip-hop genre, with the two types of music having found a way to move in together and cohabit a single space. Just as the marriage between R&B and Hip-hop in the US, our pop sounds have formed a natural alliance with rap music, and together they have grown. Olamide’s ‘Sere’ strides this fine line, and embodies what has been happening on the music scene for almost a decade. He is on the record with Lil Kesh, and together, they create music with elements of both worlds on display.

Just like his past three albums, rap has never been absent from Olamide’s career, and his next album will still be a glowing addition to Hip-hop. The man can adapt and become Nigeria’s A-list pop star, but he finds new ways to still be a rap star too. December will be a good month for the glory of Nigerian rap music.

Caitlyn Jenner must use men’s bathroom in North Carolina, State Governor says

The world's most popular transgender Caithlyn Jenner will have no choice but to use the men's bathroom if she comes to North Carolina according to the state's governor, Pat McCrory.
McCrory, on Tuesday defended the state’s anti-LGBT law, and blamed “liberals” for “a major change in culture” that has forced Republicans to respond with the legislation forming an anti-LGBT law.
North Carolina’s anti-LGBT law passed in March, removes anti-discrimination protection for LGBTQ people and mandates that people use the public bathrooms that correspond to the sex they were assigned at birth.

“If she’s going to a shower facility at [University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill] after running around the track, she’s going to use the men’s shower.”
“If you’re a man, you’re going to go to the man’s locker room, restroom or shower. If you’re a woman, you’re going to go to their appropriate shower,” McCrory said. “No change whatsoever.”
But his opponent Cooper said the law must change.
It writes discrimination into our law and it has been a disaster for our economy,” Cooper said.
“Governor McCrory continues to go across the state telling people that this is not hurting our economy. He attacks businesses who are opposed to it and says that everything is going fine. Governor, what planet are you on?”
