Has Wizkid Surpassed 2face’s Achievements? [Find Out Here]

There are very few artistes in Nigeria who has gotten to the height in their career like the legendary 2face Idibia. There is absolutely no achievement he hasn’t accomplished in his music career span that he had to delve into acting just to explore other talents he possesses.

So many artistes look up to him and want to emulate him by sounding like him, dressing like him and even try to act like him. He is the only hip hop artistes in our generation who has attained legendary status becausfe of his unique nature and song writing skill. If there is anyone who can contend with him then it has to be our very own starboy, Wizkid.

Wizkid rise from just a random artiste to an internationally acclaimed superstar is a source of motivation and inspiration to other African artistes that they can get to the peak of their career if they dream big and work hard. From the days of “Hola at Your Boy” to “Ojuelegba”, Wizkid has grown and matured in his music that he now features on top American and UK artistes songs like Drake’s “One Dance”, Tinnie Tempah’s “Mamacita” just to mention a few.

Just like 2face, Wizkid has won every major awards and recognitions that a successful artiste should win. He has won BET Awards, MOBO Awards, 5 times The Headies Award, 2 Channel O Music Awards, MAMA Awards, Afrimma Awards and many others. Wizkid has also received other top nominations at the MTV Europe Music Awards and World Music Awards.

In terms of International exposure Wizkid beats 2face hands down in that criterion. The number of international collaborations he has done with top international artistes is unimaginable for an African artiste. This year alone he has worked with Drake, Chris Brown, Tinnie Tempah, French Montana, Trey Songz, Dj Henry, Hoody Baby and Justine Skye his alleged American girlfriend.2face has also worked with some top international artistes like Wyklef, T-Pain, Beenie Man,Sway and Bridget Kelly.

Wizkid was the first Nigerian artiste to feature on Billborad, an international music chart courtesy of his role in Drake’s “One Dance” song which is off his album ‘VIEWS’. This is a feet no other Nigerian has been able to reach even 2face have never featured on Billboard before. The song peaked on the number one spot on Billboard for seven consecutive weeks tying Michael Jackson’s record.

2face is still one of Africa’s biggest artistes and has headlined some of the biggest shows and tours in the country and beyond but he hasn’t toured major European and America cities with top international artistes. Wizkid on the other hand has toured Europe, America and even Africa with top international artistes like Chris Brown, French Montana, August Alsina, Mariah Carey, Maxwell, Calvin Harris and Kendrick Lamar.

2face has some of the best albums ever released in Nigeria and he still has his most evergreen song ‘African Queen’ to his name. His evergreen albums are “Grass 2 Grace”, “Face 2 Face”, “Away and Beyond” and “The Ascension”. Wizkid has just two albums “Superstar” and “Ayo” and they are still evergreen. With only two albums to his name Wizkid has been able to carve a niche for himself to becoming Africa’s pride to the world.

To cut the long story short, from my own perspective I think Wizkid has gotten to the same level that 2face is and from the way he is going he might surpass him and also attain legendary status in a matter of years. There is hardly nothing 2face has achieved that Wizkid have not done or surpass. But can Wizkid command the same respect back at home just like 2face?I would say NO and I would leave it at that.

Beautiful Brothel Worker Puts Up her Virginity For Sale At $400,000? WILL YOU BUY?

A woman is auctioning her virginity to help her family following a devastating house fire.

Katherine Stone, 20, left Seattle to work in one of Nevada’s infamous legal brothels after spotting an advertisement on Facebook.

There, she is advertising her virginity for $400,000 – however she won’t accept a bid unless she feels a “connection” with the person.

Speaking to CNN , she said:

“People say you are supposed to do it for love. But if you think about it, I am doing it because I love my family.”

Stone struck up a deal with brothel tycoon Dennis Hof in 2015. Hof stated she could sell her virginity at his brothel – as long as he gets a 50% cut.

Until then, she works at the brothel and offers non-intercourse services to raise money for her family who didn’t have insurance when the fire destroyed their home. She said:

“I’m waiting for a man who I feel a connection with so that the experience can be special for both of us.

“I have the right to choose what I do with my body. And in this troubling economy, do you blame me?”

Will you buy?

You can Charge your phone without electricity, see how.

The wind turbine

Do you think the term iFan applies only to a person who camps outside the Apple Store the night before a new model iPhone is released? Think again.

The iFan’s wind turbine approach to charging allows users to harness the ‘green’ power of the wind to energise their smartphones.

Designed by ‘3D interior and exterior designer, Tjeerd Veenhoven uses a modified computer fan.

The charging process takes around six hours – but enthusiastic (and fit) callers can speed it up by attaching their iFan to a bicycle.

The hand-crank

Desperate smartphone users will get around 30 seconds of talk time per minute of cranking the BoostTurbine 2000, with the potential to crank all the way to a full charge. At 2000 mAh, you won’t be able to effectively charge laptops or tablets, but phones, MP3 players and other 5V personal electronics should all work effectively.

Eton’s BoostTurbine 2000 is a purveyor of hand-cranked emergency devices – mainly flashlights, radios, and the sort-geared toward outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists.

Fruits

What could be more appropriate than charging an iPhone with an actual apple (or more subversive than doing the same with a Samsung Galaxy)? Well, provided that you’ve got the right tools, a bit of time and, presumably, some fruit you’re less than keen to eat, it can be done.

Essentially, what you’re building here is a circuit – like the ones you used to put together in science classes – using a regulation vegetable battery, created by sticking strips of zinc and copper into your fruit or root vegetable of choice.

The electricity comes from the oxidation of zinc, with the organic matter serving as a conductive barrier, and the copper (in the form of a penny) completing the circuit.

One fruit/vegetable will generate around half a volt of electricity, with stacks of alternating layers of vegetables, zinc and copper creating a lasagna-like battery series, each set adding to the total voltage.

It might be a cool experiment, but it’s by far the least efficient phone charging method on this list (which is presumably why it hasn’t been commercialized).

The sun

If you’re really keen on using fire to charge your phone, you may just want to consider going all out by using the sun

You know that massive ball of burning gas at the centre of the solar system. Well, it turns out that it throws off astonishing 400 trillion watts on regular basis – roughly the amount of energy it will take to power 500,000 years of our current civilisation in a single second. And, yes, that includes charging phones. Of course, harnessing the sun’s rays is the tricky bit — which is why we can be thankful for the Solio Bolt Solar Charger + Battery Pack from the aptly-named Better Energy Systems.

With its on-board battery and rotating solar panels, the Solio Bolt charges can charge USB-powered gadgets ranging from smartphone to MP3 player, e-reader and cameras.

The maximum voltage is 5V; but there are a few more ingenious ways to recharge your batteries. On average, a smartphone will take around three hours to go from zero to full.

Hey, who could dislike a gadget whose slogan tells us to just ‘Plug into the sun’?

FG To Eradicate polio By 2017

The Federal Government planned to immunise 41 million children against polio before the end of the year as part of efforts to ensure complete eradication of the virus in Nigeria by 2017, Health Minister Isaac Adewole said.
The minister told newsmen in Maiduguri on Monday that the goal was to ensure that polio was eradicated in Africa by next year.
He said that similar immunisation would take place in neighbouring countries of Niger, Chad , Cameroon and Central African Republic as part of joint effort to ensure the eradication of the virus from
Africa.
He added that “our target is for Africa to be free of polio by 2017.
“We have an elaborate ring fence immunisation that is going to take place not only in Nigeria, but also in Niger, Chad , Cameroon and the Central African Republic.”
He explained that the Federal Government planned to conduct five rounds of immunisation against polio before the end of December.
He said that “in Nigeria, we are planning five rounds of immunisation; we have done one in the immediate area, where we immunised about 800, 000 children.
“We will do another round of four states to 18 states and go back to do another round of 18 states.
“By December, we will have immunised nothing less than 41 million children under five years of age in Nigeria.”
The minister pointed out that the discovery of wild polio virus in Borno was a great setback on the country’s journey toward final eradication of polio, stressing that “we thought that we had overcome polio, un fortunately between July and now, we detected four new cases.
“One case of polio alone is unacceptable, because it is equal to an outbreak.”
He, however, said that the discovery of the virus in the liberated communities from Boko Haram insurgents were was not totally unexpected.
He then commended President Muhammadu Buhari for providing all the support needed in the fight
against polio.
He also commended the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other partners for their support in the anti polio campaign.
He said “we want to thank the WHO, UNICEF and all these organisations for their support and partnership in the fight against polio.”
