HOW I STOLE N5.675 MILLION FROM DIAMOND BANK- CLEANER

Imagine a bank cleaner stealing millions from a bank. This is the story of 29 year old man, Peter Oko, who stole N5.675 million from the New Nyanya branch of Diamond Bank, where he worked.

He had taken the keys to the vault, stole the money and hid it in a carton, which he took home after the close of work. The money was however recovered by the police, which said that the suspect had been charged to court.

He confessed “As a cleaner, I knew where all the keys were kept. I single-handedly carried out the operation because I have been working as a cleaner in the bank for the past 10 years and my eyes had been on one of the keys to the vault, where the bank used to keep all its money.

“As a cleaner, my attention was not only on the keys, but on how I will carry out the operation successfully without being caught by either the security or any staff of the bank.” He added “As a cleaner, I knew where all the secret files were kept and where the bank kept its keys where you can have access to dollars, Nigerian currency and all other currencies. The devil of economy recession pushed me into the crime; I have never committed a criminal act before, luck ran out on me and I was caught in the process,” he stated.

Governor says only Igbos can survive if Nigeria scatters

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose believes that only the Igbo tribe can survive in isolation if Nigeria breaks up.
Fayose also described the Igbos as a “unique people in the country.”
“Whatever anybody says, the Igbos are a unique people in the country. God forbid, if Nigeria should break, they are the only nation that can survive because they are industrious people,” Fayose said on Saturday, November 19, after being conferred with a title by the Igbo community in Ekiti," he said.
“All the permanent structures found everywhere are owned by the Igbo people. Wherever you go in the country, you will find an Igbo man there.
“No Igbo man can vote for any other party in Ekiti State except the party I belong to because we are bonded with one another,” he added.

prostitutes now issue receipts for sex

In an attempt to upgrade their game and compete favourably with their counterparts in other countries, commercial sex workers in Kenya have moved up a notch by issuing receipts for their services.

A Kenyan journalist who posted the story on his blog, claims that these days, the prostitutes have decided to digital with many of them advertising their services  on social media platforms like Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Apart from displaying their services while trying to outdo one another, they have also upgraded to issuing receipts in a bid to stay on top of their game and to make sure their clients pay up what was agreed upon.

Lawmaker slams Reps over N3.6b car purchase

Embattled lawmaker and former Chairman of House appropriation committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin has criticised the House of Representatives’ decision to purchase cars worth N3.6b.
Jibrin also said the decision to buy the exotic cars shows how insensitive the House is to the plight of suffering Nigerians.
The lawmaker who was suspended by the House for 180 days, for accusing the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara of fraud, said he will reject his own car, and called on other Reps to do the same.
Jibrin also revealed that the lawmakers do not need cars for their oversight functions as claimed, adding that the agencies they supervise send buses to convey them.
According to Punch, he said “That it is an outright lie that the cars are needed for oversight as over 80 per cent of oversight activities of the House of Representatives are carried out in Abuja and in almost all instances it is the MDA’s that arrange buses to convey members from the premises of the House to the respective MDA.
“That such areas that are far away from Abuja, members always use flights to the nearest location while the MDAs arrange vehicles and other logistics to complete the visit. In almost all instances, the MDAs provide accommodation and pay for the tickets and other logistics.
“That even if we assume that the cars are needed, it is unfair to further put additional N4bn into such a wasteful venture while at the same time members pocket about N10m monthly. An amount many members use to sponsor their lavish lifestyles and buy as many exotic cars for their private use…”
